2 millionth new car arrives in Grimsby

The GBA Group have managed and operated the 112 acre Northern Distribution Centre in Moody Lane, Grimsby and from 1st January 1995 to date on behalf of VWG.

At the event, Captain Sam Judah, Managing Director of the GBA Group said

‘I would like to thank everyone here who has played an important part in reaching this milestone. I would also like to thank VWG in putting their trust and confidence in us and are extremely proud to be associated with the success story of the VW Group in the UK.’

Captain Judah went on to make a presentation to Mr Robin Woolcock, Managing Director of Volkswagen Group UK to mark the occasion. In a speech given by Mr Woolcock, he thanked all the GBA staff for their efforts. He stated, ‘GBA were awarded the contract in 1995 for Grimsby and now handle 100% of the UK imports of VWG units and have held the contract ever since so you must be doing something right.’ Today the GBA Group of Companies handle all the VWG imports into the UK through the ports of Grimsby, Sheerness and Tyne in excess of 400,000 units pa.
