GBA Apprentices shortlisted for IMI outstanding achievers awards.

Three GBA Apprentices were shortlisted for the IMI Outstanding Achievers Awards. Carl Gomes, Emma Morris and Sarah James work for G.B. Terminals (Western) Ltd, part of the GBA Group of Companies and are based at the Honda Distribution Centre in Avonmouth.
Carl Gomes was invited to attend the IMI Award ceremony on 10th June which was held at Fanshaws in Hertfordshire. This prestigious event was held in the presence of HRH Prince Michael of Kent. Carl Gomes was a finalist in the hotly contested category of Outstanding Technical Student – Body Repair.
Mike Phillips of S&B Automotive Academy where the 3 apprentices attend said of their achievements, “I am really proud to have had 3 of our apprentices short listed for this award and I am particularly pleased for Carl as he has worked extremely well during his time with us and he has been a pleasure to teach.
I would like to congratulate them on some excellent special effects work completed as an ongoing project throughout their final year. A special mention should be given to Sarah and Emma who produced an outstanding custom paint job on a car bonnet.”
